We are now at Mindy's parents. We've had soup and now everyone is getting ice cream and cake.
But, the highlight of the day, is that Stewart finally won a race!! And, most of the chasers crashed. So, it was a good points day for Stewy. Too bad he probably needs 2 or 3 more races like this to get back into the championship picture..
Anyway, Ty is making a mess with his cupcake, so I better go help out!!

Today we've just laid low, watched conference, and played with Ty. Mom took a nice nap, and I've watched the Nascar race. Tonight we are going to Mindy's parents for dinner, and celebrating the twins birthday... There have really been some good talks given at conference. I really liked Monson's talk this morning. He basically talked about taking advantage of every day, and making the most of today. It really puts things into perspective...

Yesterday's highlight was the BYU game. The Cougs started off really good, capitolizing on some turn-overs. But, after being up 27-0 in the first quarter, the Cougs played pretty flat and complacent. Hopefully it will be a wake up call for them, as they had many stalled drives and had to settle for some field goals. I really think they will come out prepared next week. Bottom line, they are still undefeated!
Today we've just been laying low and watching conference. It has been pretty relaxing! Right now we are at the Rogers having pizza and getting ready for the guys to go to the priesthood session. Ty is happy, of course, because he is with his cousins!

Last night I watched the Utah game. I have the same feeling about them that I have every year - we should demolish them. Their offense is gimmicky, undisciplined. Their defense often over-pursues (admittedly they do pretty good against the run) and misses assignments. That have pretty good rushers - but our O-line is too good for them. I hope BYU doesn't under perform this year! Seriously, they would beat the Utes 9 times out of 10 if they played each other every week. But, that 1 time could be the time they beat us!

So, when I woke up this morning, I somehow pulled a muscle in my neck/back. I'm surprised I made it to work without killing myself, because I can't look left or right. But, I slept pretty well!
Tonight I have to work late. But, I also have a couple softball games (I don't know if I can go with my neck, but they don't have enough players...). But I'm really considering ditching the game.
Ty is starting to wake up each morning calling for Da-Da. It is fun. But, then I quickly realize he just wants me to get him out of bed so he can go see Ma-Ma.
Also, I just wanted to tell my wife I love her, and I appreciate the talk we had last night and the efforts she makes in so many areas of her life. I love you, Mindy!

Lots of fun at the zoo today with Ty! He had a really good time with Grandpa Pops, and we were very glad he came with us. Now I have some work to catch up on, but it was well worth the time off. After the elephant handler did a trick having the elephant retrieve it's hat - Ty tried to give the elephant his hat! We also saw a cheetah run, the monkeys play, and the giraffe eat. Ty had a fun time finding the animals and pointing at each one he found! He was super cute, and he even learned to say "zoo".

I can't believe I haven't posted in a few days. Life has been super busy, and I've worked
2 really late nights (which I usually post before I go to bed). But, nothing real exciting has happened. Yesterday I golfed 18 holes at the Homestead with Mark, Jim, and Dave. It was the hardest coursei have played, because the greens were impossibly fast. It was a pretty frustrating round of golf, but a good time for sure!! Tiger just woke up, he musta been pretty tired. And since our church starts in 5 minutes - I don't think we will make it this week. I also didn't get home until after 2:30 this morning - so I'm pooped anyway...

Today has actually been pretty slow. Not much has happened at work, which is okay with me! I've been picking away at stuff and definitely have stuff to do, but it isn't a stressful busy. Part of what has made this week so long is no BYU game! I have to wait for a week from tomorrow for them to play again. What ever am I going to do???

Today was a pretty long day. I didn't get home until 9:00pm or so, but we did get a lot done at the warehouse. Nothing really excited happened during the day other than coming home for lunch to play with Ty, and playing Mario Kart with Mindy after I ate the most delicious BLT sandwiches. I'm looking forward to going to the zoo on Friday with Ty.

Today was a bummer day. It was just one of those days you want to forget. Softball went pretty bad, and it was especially frustrating because I feel I have some decent talent at the sport, but I haven't played well for Platinum all season. I haven't batted or fielded that well at all. Conversely, at our ward softball games - I actually played quite well. So, it isn't even that I just think I'm better then I'm actually playing - I'm just really not playing to my potential with Platinum. Similarly at bridge tonight, I had crappy cards all night, then when I have a couple good rounds of cards at the end - nothing goes right with distribution or with how the cards fall. It might seem petty to most, but it REALLY bugs me everytime I don't personally do well. It isn't about winning or losing with me (many would say i'm not a good loser and all I care about is winning) but it is honestly all about how I perform. I know, despite everything I personally do, that I will lose. But, what grinds on me is when I just don't perform!
Okay, enough of the sob story. Time for bed. I'll try to remember to post more often through the day...........

I actually had a pretty good day today for it being a Monday. Work didn't overload me too bad, and we hung out with Mark and Janae tonight. The funny thing is that we wanted to watch Iron Man, but the one we got from Redbox was the cartoon version (and we went to 3 locations to find it)! So, we just ended up visiting for the night. Ty Ty wore his first cold weather fall outfit today, which was awefully cute. Of course it was 2 sizes too big! But, he is cute in anything!

I really had a good day today. It is too bad I have to go to work tomorrow! But, going back to work is what passes the time away until the next Cougar game. Although, this week is the bye week, so it will be plenty hard to bide my time as it is! This week we might go to the zoo, which will hopefully be really fun for Ty. He loves his animals!! Oh yeah, Ty and I started an ant farm! He helped me dig them out of the ground with a screwdriver. Well, he dug into dirt with a screwdriver while I collected ants. It's all the same, right?

Last night's party was sooo long! They did award after award, and we felt like were sitting there for forever. But, I got to meet a couple inventory managers, and I got a digital photo frame. I'm really glad I chose to work for Platinum. They take good care of me, an I really feel they are headed in the right directon. Their whole party was about proving a good service for customers, not just about how many accounts were sold. I really like their emphasis on quality accounts...

This morning was real low key. I played some Mario Kart, Ty took a nap, and we were just lazy (except my wife that did laundry!). The BYU game went pretty well, we had to leave early to go to Platinum's year end. Austin Collie had a big game, and Max had 3 touchdowns - but, we didn't have a lot of passing or over-all offensive yards. Anyway, we are now at the party in SLC (the 23rd floor of the Wells Fargo building). It has a good view and we are surrounded by 30 motorcycles, plasmas, and other give-aways. There are a bunch of people here, we are just hiding in the corner away from everyone!!

Please, don't EVER watch the movie "Maid of Honor". No matter what your significant other tells you or bribes you with. It is the dumbest, most predictable movie I've ever seen. Dad got to watch Ty while Mom had visiting teachers. We had all sorts of fun. It is nice to watch him when he isn't whining 24/7 for his "Mindy". He is such a funny kid. He really does have his own little personality, and he has his own ideas about what he wants to be doing at any given moment. It isn't easy to convince him to do ANYthing else! My grandparents are coming over for bridge, so stay tuned for the winner!

Well, today we had a cousins dinner at my grandparents. We had a good time, and had some good food. Ty was really cute with London, it is fun to watch both of them. We spent like 2 hours trying to fix the colors on Grandpa's TV. Come to find out, the cables were just bad. Talk about a waste of time! But, everyone seemed to enjoy giving their input as to how the colors looked.
Tony had a pretty good race, considering he got in a small wreck on pit road, then got caught speeding on pit road. He battled back to 8th place and is now 7th in points around 74 points back. It turned out to be a pretty good sports weekend... Too bad tomorrow is Monday, and I have to go back to work!!!

Around noon we dropped Ty off at my dad's on our way to the game. We got to the game pretty early (we know not to leave so early next time), and my mom threw up when we arrived to the stadium. So, she went home and we had Travis come and use her ticket. Well, the Cougs got the win they needed. They made their statement! They really played about a perfect as you can, shutting out the Bruins 59-0. Hall had seven touchdown passes, and he didn't even play the last quarter and a half! Their offense is looking really good.
After the game, I finished mowing our neighbors yard, and now I am watching some of the games on TV. My voice is gone from yelling, and I already had a sore throat before the game.

Ty had such a good time swimming. Before we got in the pool, we let Cole and Tiger play on the cover. They just jumped an dove around, having a blast. Ty got really excited and was much more brave in the pool. He was jumping off the sides, going down the slide, and putting his face in the water. He even wanted to hang out in the hot tub! After swimming, he was completely exhausted...
I can't wait for the game tomorrow. The Cougs need a convincing win in the worst way. Of course any win will do. However, if they want to make a statement, they need to win big! Go Cougars!!!

Well, I caved in and decided to go home for lunch and a nap. On my way home, there was a crazy bad accident that had the whole southbound freeway blocked. Our northbound travel was stop and go for a couple exits. Anywy, when I passed by, there was a 15 passenger van that they had just cut apart and they had someone on a stretcher. Then there we a couple other cars completely crushed, a couple of while looked like they had rolled. Anyway, things like that remind you that you can never be too careful.
At home, I did sleep for about an hour. It did feel good. Little Ty and Mom went for a walk to help keep it quiet. When I got up, I learned that Ty has stopped using "ma-ma" and has started using "Mindy" to refer to mom. It is pretty funny! Well, I really need to crank down and do some work!

Well, the warehouse looks a little better, eh? There is still a LOT to do, but it is nice to be as far along as we are. Hopefully we don't get anymore overwhelming shipments, though.
I forgot to mention that I won another jersey at the Bronco Mendenhall show!! Well, okay, Mindy won the first one - but it was fun that we won another. I always complain to Mark about how I never win drawings, and I was doing so again when my name was the first one drawn! I guess I might have to change my tune to "I always win drawings..."

It is just not Stewart's year. He has the fastest car the whole second half of the race, but everytime he pits he looses 1-5 spots on pit road. I imagine it was pretty frustrating for him. He still has a chance at the end to beat Johnson, but of course Johnson keeps the preferred top line and Stewart can't get it done. That last pit positioning is so important for first an second place, it is just hard to pass someone in the last few laps.
Anyway, it has been a weekend of satisfaction (BYU winning and Stewart finishing second), but it wasn't the weekend that I wanted. BYU really needed a convincing win over Washington, and because they didn't get it, they dropped 3 spots in the polls and lost national respect. They now need to get it done convincingly against UCLA. Stewart got into the chase, but their team has to perform much better if they have any chance at the championship (which right now it seems they have no chance). It has been 39 races since Stewart has won. He's been in position in 3-4 races but just haven't sealed the deal (including leading the race with 2 laps left and blowing a tire). 39 races is a long time, that's around 140 hours of dissapointed race watching...UGHHHH
Well, I have no idea what's happened in the NFL today, so I'll have to do some browsing and watch Sports Center. But, then of course I'll have to deal with all the media biased against BYU and listening to how the refs gave them the game. Man, let's hope there are better weekends ahead!!

Today we have Stake Conference, but we don't know when or where it is, because they don't announce it 2 weeks ago and we were gone camping last week. So, we'll have to see if we can find out. Or just show up at our stake building...

I'm totally bugged by all the press about the BYU game. Almost every media outlet is acting like the call at the end of the game cost the Huskies the game. If I remember right, didn't they still have a chance to kick the PAT? When you read about this game, it was as if they weren't given the right to kick the PAT. All they have to do is execute that last field goal and this is all a non-issue.
Now, about the call - it was the right call. The rule book states that a player can not throw the ball in the air. Locker threw the ball at least 30ft in the air. I think the rule is dumb, and they should look at modifying it, but as it reads and states for this season - it was correct.
There is no doubt that BYU won the game FAIR and square!

Wow, what a game! It sure wasn't the win that I wanted, but of course I'll take it. The main problem is this win didn't help us gain national respect- but hopefully we will do something later in this season to gain the respect we deserve.
As a note, I'm WAY impressed with our offense! I'm not concerned about them at all. Our defense needs some more experience, but I think they will be good enough to get us to a BCS game (at least I'm hoping!!).

Tied 14-14 at the half. I must say I'm pretty nervous. However, the Cougs have been more physical, so I think they will dominate the 4th. Our offense just has to keep rolling... It is fun watching the game here at Pinnacle.

Wayne won the first set 2 games to none. I won the next 2 sets 2 games to 1 each. My serve is getting a little better, but Wayne's is much more consistent. Time to mow the lawn and clean the garage! Then it's off to the game!!!

Well, I told you I wouldn't be able to sleep! It probably didn't help that I posted a big blurb on BYU football on our main blog. Anyway, before I go to bed I wanted to tell Mindy "sorry" for not helping more with Ty tonight when he was being cranky. Sometimes I just get in my zone and don't realize what I'm not doing. Please know that I do care, and that all you need to do is ask or snap me back to reality! Anyway, I'm off to download Chome, the new Google browser. I've been fascinated by it since it was released earlier this week. I put it on my work computer and fell in love - it is super fast!! Even if Google is trying to know everyhing about me, I like their products!! BTW, if you click the geolocate link below, it will show you where I am in the world when I post each blurb. Kinda cool...

The day is ending, and I'm crazy excited for the BYU game tomorrow. They play the Washington Huskies in Seattle, and it is the Cougs first road game of the season, and their first big step towards a BCS bowl game, and the 2009 national championship game! I couldn't sleep last night, and I'm sure tonight will be worse! Tiger is having a rough night, and just won't go to bed. My poor wife is so patient with him, I love her so much. We really do have the cutest kid, though - so I think that makes it easer for her to take! Tomorrow at 7:00 am I'm playing tennis with Wayne. Stay posted for scores!
